Updates as you type

A careful cleanup, not a rewrite. Check the preview before exporting. TXT removes timestamp-only lines, bracketed leading timecodes, and leading HH:MM:SS timecodes; ordinary numbers and inline times stay.

How to clean a transcript or convert SRT to TXT

  1. Paste your existing transcript, or open a UTF-8 TXT, SRT, or VTT file up to 1 MB. Auto-detect handles pasted subtitles; you can also choose the input format.
  2. Review the live preview. Leave “Merge short lines” on for flowing text, or turn it off to keep line breaks. Duplicate removal is optional and only skips identical, consecutive subtitle cues.
  3. Choose “Copy text” or “Download .txt” to use the result in your notes or document. Keep the original file if you still need timed subtitles.

For meeting or interview transcript cleanup, use an existing TXT transcript with leading timestamps. Speaker labels are kept; this tool does not create summaries or action items.

A little more about this tool

01

Local by design

The cleaner processes text on this device. It does not upload your file, store your transcript, or call an AI service. Reloading clears your work.

02

Bring the transcript

Use an existing TXT, SRT, or VTT file. This tool doesn’t download videos, transcribe audio, translate, or correct grammar.

03

Keep what matters

Speaker labels and spoken words stay. Subtitle formatting is removed. Unrecognized subtitle blocks are kept for you to review—not silently discarded.
